Our last game of the season and we came up against a shoebury side fighting for survival,we had changed the side around to let boys play in other positions,for doing so well all season(and try and get some goals!!).we conceded an early penalty,which our keeper saved only for the ref to let shoebury take it again,and score.we pushed hard and pulled one back.shoebury were not going to let us off,and hit us on the counter and scored again,we changed at half time and the boys got intio a good flow and played some good football back in there normal positions.we lost 4-2 today,but the boys played well and gave a good performance ,can i say a big thanks to all the parents,who with out there help running the line,putting up the nets etc,myself and wayne could not have coped,and lastly thanks to wayne for all his help over the last season

The match today was played in appaling conditions,and if it was not for the parents getting there early, sweeping and forking the puddles it may well have been called off. Canvey had already been promoted but we wanted revenge for a 1 nil defeat at the start of the season. We stared well and went in to the break 2- 1 up. We pushed hard and added another 2 to our tally, Canvey added another 1. Well done boys!

We came up against a strong downhall team today,and they needed to win to win the league. We started strongly and scored first, Downhall fought back and the challenges got stronger and later as the game went on, the ref was strong and tried to ignore the downhall supporters who challenged every decision the ref gave. We held on and went in 1 all,the second half was much of the same and with so much at stake downhall broke the dead lock and pushed on and scored 2 more, we were sloppy and did not do our selves credit,congratulations to Downhall.

We started well today and only had the bare 11, so with no subs it was going to be tough against a strong hullbridge side. We scored first and kept hullbridge at bay. Hullbridge leveled the score before half time, both teams were equally matched, and we were finding it hard to break hullbridge down. Well done to the boys they battled hard and the fact that we had a ref too young to make strong decissions, Hullbridge kept it 1 all.
Can I say all the best to Steve the Hullbridge manager as the team are folding at the end of the season,we had some hard fought games over the last season or so, maybe a draw was best for todays game.

WHAT A GAME ! another team who came to our home pitch and expected to win! We gave as good as we got today , Ashingdon took an early lead,and this spured us on we pushed hard and got the equalizer just before half time. Can not remember all the details but every boy on our team went home with their heads held high, we fought hard all over the pitch. Well done boys GOALS BROWN 2 GOGGINS 1 WRIGHT1

What a game! Lovely sunshine and a team on a roll, no subs today so bare 11. We came out of the blocks fast,and pushed Villa back with our strikers and midfield peppering the Villa goal,we went in at the break 3 nil up. Villa got 1 back and beech pushed on again and grabbed another 2 goals. Villa snatched 1 back and we rolled out 5-2 winners ,well done boys.

What performance!! 4 nil up in 15 minutes!! We were expecting a hard game today but we came out strong and showed Noak Bridge how to play. Noak Bridge fought hard but were shell shocked by our start ,we even saved a penalty!! The boys played well today and did not let the strong tackles put them off their stride ,we stode out 6-3 winners today

At last we managed to play a game!!!! Hambro started well and took an early lead, this spured Beech into action with our 5 man mid-field taking control and our defence holdind strong, we went in at half time 2-1 up after battling hard. Hambro came out strong and leveled the score, we made some changes and went to 4 at the back, this settled us down and we pushed on and grabbed the winner. Well done boys after such a long lay up you all done well.

At last in appaling conditions we got a win !!! After finding out that Estuary had been awarded 3 points for our postponed first game, due to a club administration problem, we wanted to show them it would not be as easy to get the next 3!!!
We started well as the rain come down and took the lead early. Estuary hit back after some failed attempts to clear the ball they managed to find the back of the net. We went in 1-1 all and came out strong in the second half and scored 2 quick goals. Estuary could not find away out of their half and conceded 2 more goals. Well done lets finish the year on a winning streak!

Todays match was away to a strong Ashingdon side,we started strongly and had several good chances,with the help of a good keeper,Ashingdon kept us from taking the lead.Then out of nowhere,ashingdon broke and were 1 nil up,still realing from the first goal they hit us on the break and scored again!! Finally the whistle went and we finished the half 3-1 down.A much more sprited second half saw us bring the score back to 3-2 but without any subs we were struggling,and Ashingdon scored a 4th ,the boys battled well and came off battered and bruised well done boys i am sure we will bounce back soon!!! Someone once told me it was a funny old game,and today I would have to agree. On paper we were the better team ,on the pitch Noak Bridge would disagree.
Noak Bridge pushed hard right from the start and scored early, we never recovered and beech took the back foot and Noak Bridge continued to push hard and we went in at half time 4 nil down. We made some changes and came out fighting for the second half and pulled the score back to 4-3. We were pushing hard and Noak Bridge hit us on the break 5-3 the score ended.
Once again we were late out of the blocks and left us an up hill struggle against a team who were fighting hard for their first win and we gave it to them on a plate.

At home today and our chance to show our bounce back ablitiy after last weeks shock exit from the cup. We faced a strong Hambro team today, who in our last meetings have given us a good game. We started well and had most of the play in the first half and went in to the break 2 nil up. Hambro pushed hard in the second half and pushed beech back into their area ,beech railled and held off the pressure, late in the second half beech missed a good headed chance to make it 3 nil but the score stayed the same.
Well done to the ref who had a good game and kept the game moving well in a good natured encounter. Well done boys.

What difference a week makes, this match had all the makings of a good cup tie, lower division oppostion,lovely sunny day,and then kick off. Blackgate gunners came out of the traps running and caught us still in the car park!!! 4 nil up in the first 15 minutes!! We were on the back foot how was a team so good and in a lower league, we went into the break shell shocked.
We came out hard in the second half and scored almost immediatly from the start, we pulled it back to 4-3, blackgate fought back and scored 2 more beech rallied and pulled it back to 6-5 Some very dodgy linesman decisions,the cross bar and a goal disallowed kept the score 6-5. Well done boys but next year lets not give the opposition a 4 goal head start!! goals from Brown3 and Pugh2

What can i say apart from how proud myself and wayne are about the performance, the formation finally paid off. We came up against a good shoebury side who year last we only managed a draw and a loss, we started on the back foot and shoebury pushed hard and kept us pinned in our own half, then an exellent ball from the midfield saw our strikers break and we were one up.
Beech then pushed shoebury back and we went in at the break 4 nil up. After the break we continued to dominate the game with our midfield dictating the play the final whistle went and we had won 8 nil with 4 more goals coming in the second half.

Our first home game of the season,and we knew it would not be easy against a good hullbrige side.
As we knew from past meetings with hullbridge we were in for a tough game and they did not dissapoint us. We came out stong and took a first half lead of 3-0 with goals coming from pugh(1) and brown(2).
Hullbridge came out hard in the second half content on fouling and kicking lumps out of Beech. Hullbridge finally settled and scored this only fired beech up with two more goals scored by Winzer and Quincey. Hullbridge pushed hard and scored two more goals but we fought hard and held onto our lead.
Well done boys i hope the win was worth the bruises.

Finally our first game!! We started well and slowly settled into our new formation,the boys were moving the ball well and the midfield were passing good balls through to our strikers which was giving canvey problems but they defended well.
Half way through the first half canvey broke our offside trap and the ref looked to the linesman play on was given and canvey slotted the ball home. This spurned the boys on and turned on the pressure just before half time brown broke free and bored down on the goal,round the keeper he danced and just as he pulled the trigger canveys defender took the ball of his foot. No goal, one injured striker ,on came thornton-lane and with his first touch nearly scored.
The boys came out after the break and pilled on more pressure on canvey,2 more goal mouth clearances it was not going to be our day. One nil to canvey was the final score.
well done boys great effort! We will now have to show our bounce back back ability.
