Disabled footballers can play the game on a regular basis by joining Beech United's brand new Three Lions Soccability Club.
The weekend project is aimed at 7-16 year olds and kicks off on Saturday 25th November 2006 at Barstable School Sports Hall. Sessions run from 11am - 12 noon with Club Chairman John Smith hosting the sessions.
Essex County FA Education Officer Lana Bond, explains more; "The club will give children an opportunity to get involved with football in and out of school environment and the project aim includes setting up a Beech United Soccability section which can go on and eventually play friendly matches against other clubs. John Smith recently completed the FA Coaching Disabled Footballers Course which was held at St Christopher School in Southend and he is looking forward to putting his skills into practice".
The Essex County FA are helping to subsidise the project with the first four weeks running as 'come and try sessions' at a cost of £1.00 per player.

The Working Together Day Young People Workshops
The young people`s Artist and creative workshops, offered a wide variety of activities to suit all ages and abilities, the activities ranged from football to card making, nail art to drama.
The children had previously chosen the activities that they wanted to do and a time table was drawn up so that all the children were spread out throughout the workshops.
It was a relaxed environment so if a child wanted to swap an activity we tried our best to achieve this.
Having so much space and the safe secure playground was brilliant as the young people could go outside during the breaks, and we could have a variety of activates in and out doors.
The Extending Opportunities Creative Art workshops kept the children amused from 9.30 – 3.30 and no child mentioned being bored or wanting to leave early!
In fact we actually had to convince the children they had to go home, so I can only come to the conclusion the Day was a success!
So what did we get up to?
Twelve of the Extending Opportunities volunteers supported the Day and wearing RAD volunteer T shirt they looked professional and easily identified.
We also had three Deaf role models supporting the workshops and interacting with the young people.
Rachel Gillingham Barracudas Summer Camp Manager also came along to support our Workshop, the children identified her from Barracudas and as usual Rachel made the day fun for all the children.
Saturday 24th November 2007 - Essex Youth Games
We arrived at the Festival in Tiptree to be met by Nick Perchard from the Essex County FA who organised the event. Unfortunately only two clubs sent teams at U/12 age group and these were ourselves and Hambro Colts.
All our players were then give a 45 minute training session from the County FA coaches and this was throughly enjoyed by all the players. The coaches then organised a game involving all the players and the managers and coaches from both teams, this was great fun.
After a short break we had a game against Hambro Colts which we unfortunately lost 4-1 but the boys enjoyed the game with our goal being scored by J Snell.
After the festival finished all the players who took part received a certificate, trophy and goody bag from the County FA which was the icing on the cake.
During the October half term we put on a Soccability session in conjunction with BOSP (Brighter Opportunities through Supported Play). Everybody had a fun time.
